CloutHound
A solid MVP of what the game could be. Definitely lots of polish and upgrades that could be made. The art style isn't nearly as cohesive as I'd like it to be, but art is hard and takes a long time. Especially when you don't have as much experience with it.
A known issue:
SAFARI USERS:
THE GAME WILL NEVER CAPTURE YOUR MOUSE PROPERLY IN SAFARI, THIS MAKES IT BORDERLINE UNPLAYABLE. PLEASE USE A DIFFERENT BROWSER!
Firefox users may also experience problems with the game loading, can personally confirm Google Chrome works perfectly.
If you press escape while playing your mouse cursor will escape the game window and turning will be much harder. There is a button in the top right corner to allow you to capture your cursor again. Unfortunately I can't figure out the reason why this problem exists since it's only happening in the web build.
Systems To be Added:
N/A (No promises right now, but, we do think we'll continue developing the game because it's been a lot of fun.)
Polish To be Added:
- Additional Juice and sound effects for the game.
- Additional larger level to give more environmental interactions for the player to try.
- Stylization of existing levels to better fit character thematics
Post game jam mortem:
We're proud of what we've accomplished here. It's not the prettiest final product, but theres a lot of heart in the implementation and the art. It's our first real attempts at getting familiar with blender, and adding in proper SFX. Overall a lot of great learning from taking on a project like this, it definitely wasn't the safest game idea given the time frame. 2 weeks did make it at least somewhat achievable though.
